馬斯克宣布重啟 Dojo 3！AI5 晶片設計成熟成關鍵

特斯拉執行長馬斯克近日在 X 表示，隨著 AI5 晶片設計已趨於成熟，公司將重新啟動第三代自研超級電腦 Dojo（Dojo 3）的開發工作，並開始為相關專案招募人力。

事實上，特斯拉在數月前才剛宣布解散 Dojo 超級電腦團隊。先前報導指出，Dojo 計畫負責人 Peter Bannon 即將離職，團隊也遭到裁撤；馬斯克更直言第二代 Dojo 是「演進上的死胡同」，決定暫停專案，並將人力調派至其他資料中心與運算相關業務。

The Tesla AI5, AI6 and subsequent chips will be excellent for inference and at least pretty good for training. All effort is focused on that.

當時特斯拉的策略明顯轉向更倚賴外部算力資源。消息指出，馬斯克選擇在 AI 訓練端持續採用輝達的資料中心晶片，同時降低 Dojo 作為獨立訓練平台的優先順序。

不過，馬斯克最新的表態帶來了轉機。他明確指出，隨著新一代 AI5 晶片設計已進入「良好狀態」（in good shape），特斯拉將正式重啟 Dojo 3 的研發工作。這顯示 AI5 的成熟度直接促成了 Dojo 專案的復活。馬斯克隨即發出徵才令，號召技術好手加入，並豪氣預告這將是未來「全球產量最高」的晶片。

相較前兩代 Dojo 嘗試走出一條獨立演進的訓練架構，特斯拉最新的算力藍圖顯得更為宏大且分工明確：未來的 AI6 晶片預計將接手負責資料中心與 Optimus 的運算需求，扮演過去 Dojo 在地面的訓練角色；而代號 AI7 的『Dojo 3』則被賦予了更具野心的『太空運算』（space-based AI compute）任務。

AI5 will make the cars almost perfect and greatly enhance Optimus.

AI6 will be for Optimus and data centers.

AI7/Dojo3 will be space-based AI compute.

另外，先前韓媒指出，特斯拉可能規畫由三星負責 Dojo 3 所用「D3」晶片的晶圓代工，並將特殊先進封裝交由英特爾處理。
