由美國螢火蟲航太公司開發的藍色幽靈（Blue Ghost）月球著陸器，日前成功登陸月球並投入運作，拍回從月球表面欣賞日出的美麗景象。
美國東部標準時間 3 月 2 日凌晨 3 時 34 分，螢火蟲航太（Firefly Aerospace）藍色幽靈月球著陸器於月球東北危海拉特雷耶山附近著陸成功，成為全球第 2 間將太空船降落月表的私人太空公司（但嚴格來講，螢火蟲航太才是第一家使太空船正常、完美降落的民企）。
該探測器攜帶的 10 個 NASA 科學有效載荷已有數個投入運作，預計未來兩週持續工作直到月球進入夜晚。
這些儀器將進行一系列研究，包括分析月球成分、月球地質與熱流、太空天氣、測試鑽探技術等，攝影機還會捕捉日落之際月球塵埃如何懸浮在表面。
3 月 3 日，螢火蟲航太於社群發布一張藍色幽靈拍攝的月球日出照，揭開月球一天的開始。

另一間同樣與 NASA 簽訂合約的美國私人太空公司 Intuitive Machines 則即將捲土重來，該公司開發的奧德修斯號月球著陸器（Odysseus）雖然於 2024 年 2 月降落在月球，但整體側翻 30 度角，不算完美著陸，儘管所有儀器正常運作、也從月球表面發回影像與科學數據，但偏離平衡的著陸導致任務提前結束。
該公司開發的第 2 台月球著陸器雅典娜號（Athena）於 2 月 27 日發射快速飛往月球執行 IM-2 任務，目前飛行器已進入月球軌道，團隊正全力準備讓飛行器在 3 月 6 日著陸月球南極附近。
至於當初與藍色幽靈著陸器搭同班火箭升空、由日本 ispace 公司開發的 Resilience 月球著陸器，目前還沿著另一條路徑緩慢飛往月球，預計今年 5 月底或 6 月初嘗試著陸月球。
