從 10 月 Twitter 宣布禁止政治廣告後，網路平台的政治廣告就引起許多迴響與討論，不過 Facebook 和 Google 並未打算禁止政治廣告，而採用公開政治廣告的方式，並按照不同地區政策調整政治廣告的投放狀況。
